Asking Questions To Connect in Schools, Work and Life
How do we best draw out the stories of others? Join Vy Dao of MIT’s Cortico, a sociologist whose work emphasizes the role of storytelling. Vy’s role as the Director of Learning and Practice brings her all over the world, conducting workshops with individuals interested in amplifying voices, connecting with others, learning in the world. By asking questions that allow people to open up and speak truthfully, we can start a frank discussion that leaves room for exploration and understanding.
Asking meaningful questions is a key facet of People Based Learning.
October 18th at 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm UTC. Register here.
Please note that because we want to support our connection in this gathering, we are limiting registration to 25 people.
Our schools, workplaces and lives over the last few years have made it abundantly clear that we cannot overestimate the importance of learning from and with the people around us. People Based Learning - Where might we start?
Not with answers 👉 with questions.
In our People Based Learning conversation campaign research, themes are emerging, people are connecting, lessons are being learned and documented.
The definition of People Based learning continues to expand and evolve, but there are clear facets emerging. To underscore our model of the creative collective, we are sharing them now. Starting October 18th, School of Thought will be hosting interactive People Based Learning Labs, providing insights into facets of People Based Learning that you can take and use in your work, school or life.
Join us for our first workshop in the People Based Learning Lab series. Our goals are our ABCs- Amplify innovative research, Build community and resources and Commit to action with what is learned.
This workshop is free for our School of Thought community.
